It seems like Rihanna is so over the pregnancy rumors. In case you missed it, Riri was recently awarded a high honour from her home country of Barbados during a ceremony marking the nation’s split from the United Kingdom to become its own republic. And to celebrate, Rihanna was named a National Hero by Prime Minister Mia Mottley.
But despite the significant award that she was given, the trolls of the internet were focusing on something else. Rihanna came dressed to impress in an absolutely jaw-dropping floor-length orange gown and strappy heels. She snapped some photos with event attendees, which later surfaced on the internet. Some fans speculated that Riri looked pregnant in the shots, and that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
During the ceremony, Rihanna wore a figure-hugging dress that flaunted her curves. Then, she went on to touch her stomach in public, and the rumors really started to fly. A verified Twitter page then went on to claim, “Rihanna is pregnant with her first child with A$AP Rocky,” giving no explanation as to where they found out, or who informed them of the news.
The rumor quickly made its rounds across social media, then that was when Rihanna entered the chat. One fan chose to go straight to the source, and DM Rihanna on I-G asking: “Can I come to the baby shower sis? True or not your babies are going to be beautiful.”
In true Riri fashion, she fired back with a hilariously snappy response, writing: “Haaaaa, Stawwp! You ain’t came to the first 10 baby showers! Y’all breed me every year dammit.” We’re so glad that she was able to laugh it off in such a manner that even the fan was pretty-self aware about the whole thing.
Like most celebrities, this is far from the first time people have started rumours that Rihanna was pregnant with no confirmation, which has got to be seriously exhausting. Fans were totally speculating about a secret pregnancy when Rihanna showed up to the the 2021 Met Gala in an oversized outfit. They obviously felt like the oversized outfits means she’s hiding a pregnant belly.
If that is true, I’ve been pregnant for years. Obviously it all couldn’t be further from the truth, and Riri’s latest fan interaction has made it crystal clear that she’s not with child. But she is hopefully releasing music soon, which we’ve been deprived of for far too long, to be honest.

Rihanna is booked and busy, and clearly has no time for all these recent baby rumors. For now, let’s just stop asking or speculating if people are pregnant. Rihanna is clearly just living her life, and we are so here for it.
