Robyn Rihanna Fenty, popularly known as Rihanna has generated several reactions from people especially Nigerians on social media, as a result her recent comments.
The billionaire singer allegedly admitted in an interview monitored by Daily Times Nigeria, that she originally hails from “Igbo tribe” of the South Eastern part of Nigeria.
She said
“My mom told me that I am originally from Igbo, Igbo is a tribe in Africa.”
Rihanna’s revelation has sparked conflicting emotions and reactions from curious Nigerians on social media especially those of the Igbo tribe.
Majority of those who commented, jokingly referred to the 33-year-old music star as their cousin, while others chose to give her a suitable Nigerian name.
