Portable, fast-rising Nigerian musician has reacted to the statement released by the organizers of Headies, condemning his death threats to his fellow nominees if he loses the award.
Recall that days after the 2022 Headies nomination list was released, Portable in a video shared on his page said nothing will stop him from winning the awards. Portable who was nominated for ‘Rookie of the year’ and ‘Best street-Hip artiste’ categories said he will kill whoever beats him to the awards.

The organizers of Headies displeased with the singer’s threats released a statement threatening to disqualify him and demanded a retraction of his statement.
Portable responding to the statement, shared a video on his page just this morning. In the video, he apologised over the death threats, saying it was merely a joke and also admitted he had done wrong by using such words.
However, he also insisted that the organizers of Headies should give him the awards because he is currently taking over the streets.
