BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemate Maria Chike Benjamin has revealed how she acquired her Nigerian accent despite growing up in the UK.
While discussing with her fellow housemates on Tuesday morning, Maria disclosed that she attended High School at her father’s hometown in Imo State when she was about 12-13 years old.
The 29-year-old former air hostess said she was the only one among her siblings that was taken by her father Mr. Agueze, to reside in Nigeria for about four years.

His father allegedly took her to Nigeria to spend the holiday with her relatives, but it turned out to be a long one. The time she spent in Imo State during those years helped her to acquire some Nigerian accent and it also made her stronger.

All these happened when Maria’s mother was about separating from her father.
