Davido donates N250m to orphanages across Nigeria

The DMW boss demonstrated his passion for giving back and helping the less privileged ones by donating every dime he made from his recent request, including his own money.

Recall that he challenged his friends to prove their love for him by transferring a sum of 1 million naira each to him for his upcoming birthday. They exceeded his expectation by contributing a whopping sum of 200 million naira for him.

However, Davido decided to give it all out to the orphanages in Nigeria. He added an extra 50 million from his pocket to support the philanthropic work. He also set up a five-person committee that will see to it that the funds are utilised without partiality.

In a statement dated November 19, 2021, Davido expressed his gratitude to his friends, colleagues and everyone who made it possible. He promised to raise funds for the less privileged ones every year, to celebrate his birthday.
