Lizzo:
It’s hard to think of Lizzo having any other career besides being an artist, because her talent makes it seem like singing and rapping is what she has been doing her entire life. But once upon a time she did have a job that some wouldn’t expect her to have.
Before her rise to fame, Lizzo was actually a food critic in Minneapolis. It’s actually where she got her Instagram name “Lizzobeeating.” She may not have written many reviews during her short food critic days, but it worked out for the better.
Cardi B:
Cardi B has been pretty open about her past work as a dancer before she became a rapper. She even talks about it in her music and while that’s a pretty unique job on its own, it is actually not the only job she had.
Before she started dominating the rap game, she worked as a cashier in Amish market. At the time, she was reportedly only taking home about $250 per week, but the glow up was real because now Cardi could easily spend that much on her nails and still be completely unbothered.
Taylor Swift:
While Taylor Swift has definitely made a name for herself in the many years she has been making music, she came from a much humbler beginning.
While being raised on a Christmas tree farm was already a sentence not many people could say about their childhood, she was introduced to her first job as an exterminator. Her job was to go around the farm to check the trees for bugs, specifically the mantis.

Apparently once, she forgot to check a tree and left one family with a full lawn of bug infestation. But eventually she found out that her true talent was in music instead.
Bella Hadid:
Bella Hadid is a woman with many talents including making anything she wears into high fashion, taking the modelling industry by storm and working a runway like her life depends on it. But did you also know that she makes a mean acai bowl?
When Bella was 15, she worked in a juice bar in Malabu called Sunlife Organics. She even talked about it on her Instagram post sometime ago.
Rihanna:
As time goes on, we are being shown more and more that there is nothing Rihanna can’t do. She has had a successful music career, fashion and lingerie line, beauty and skincare brand and we’re not even talking about her fragrance launches.
However, before the fame, she was also an army cadet when she still lived in Barbados and this will forever blow our minds.
Shontelle another singer from Barbados mentioned in a BBC interview in 2009 that she and Rihanna were both in the military program together. The early training did come in handy for Rihanna’s 2012 film “Battleship.” But we are basically just reminded that Riri’s talent knows no bounds.
Beyoncé:
While she was still very young when she got her start in the music industry, Beyoncé’s day job was a lot less demanding than what we see her doing now. To help earn some extra cash, she would sweep off hair at Headliners, the hair salon that was owned by her mother Tina Knowles.
During an interview, Beyoncé told Essence Magazine: “I helped sweep hair off the floor for tips to pay my season pass to Six Flags.”
