In her interview on the Tea With Tay podcast, hosted by actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, also known as Taymesan, Teni offered insights into her father’s character. Brig. Gen. Apata was not only a stern disciplinarian but also a soldier and the proprietor of Apata Memorial High School. He was renowned for his philanthropic endeavors.
Losing her father at such a tender age, particularly in such a harrowing manner, had a profound impact on Teni. It deprived her of the presence of a paternal figure during her upbringing and sowed seeds of mistrust within her. The fact that the gunmen invaded their home with the specific intention of assassinating her father only exacerbated the anguish of this painful memory.
