Richard Mofe-Damijo was born on the 6th of July, 1961 at Warri, Delta state.
Education and career.
He attended Mid-west College Warri and Anglican Grammar School before proceeding to University of Benin where he studied Theatre Arts. He also bagged a Law degree from the University of Lagos.
RMD formerly worked as a journalist and with Old Concord Newspaper and Metro magazine before he joined the entertainment industry.
In 2008, he was appointed the special adviser on Culture and Tourism, Delta state and later the Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, Delta state from 2009-2015.

Marital life
Richard Mofe-Damijo has been married twice. He was first married to the first female published in Nigeria -May Ellen Ezekiel, who was also a journalist and writer, his Union with her produced two children before her death in 1996.
Then in 2000, he got married again to Jumobi Adegbesan,. TV personality who worked with AIT.
RMD has great pride in his family and flaunts them regularly on his Instagram page. He praised his wife for making their home work. She is said to have left her job to focus on her family and lives a quiet life on social media.
Richard Mofe-Damijo has four children, two- Oghenekowe and Nicole Onome from his first wife May and two – Oghenetega and Efemena Titilayo from Jumobi. Among his children, his son Oghenetega appears to be the most active in social media.
He is a grand dad of two children – Rori and Kobi, both from this son- Oghenekowe.
