A recent order by the Coalition Of Orphanages and Children’s Home In Nigeria (COCHIN) has prohibited the taking of photos with children in the Orphanages accros the country.
COCHIN pointed out in a mandate released on November 18, 2020, that most people including celebrants, who come to the Orphanage have formed the habit of taking photos with the children and posting them on their social media pages.

Hence to avoid embarrassing or stigmatising the children, all homes are to strictly observe the ‘no photo rule’.
A fine of N50,000 has also been proposed to ensure strict compliance of the order. Read the mandate below:
This decree will definitely affect some celebrities who are mostly guilty of taking photos with Orphanage children and posting them on social media. But it is a step in the right direction.
