Rudiger was in action throughout the entire duration of Germany’s 2-1 victory over Ukraine in a European Nations League group game. He provided an assist for the first goal scored by Matthias Ginter.

Germany will return to action on Tuesday when they take on Switzerland and Rudiger is expected to be at the heart of the defence. They currently sit at the second position in their group with 5 points from three games, while Switzerland are at the bottom with only a point.

Third placed Ukraine will also face the Spanish leaders that same day.
