The PPRO of Delta State, Bright Edafe has warned Nigerians to be careful of the trending slogan “no gree for anybody.” The DSP from his tweet is concerned about those who may misinterpret the slogan and leverage it to cause violence.
The slogan which has been around the internet for a while expresses doggedness and resilience even in the face of trails.
However, the PPRO of Delta State has emphasized the need for Nigerians to be careful on how they use the slogan.
Giving an instance on when the use of “no gree for anybody” could be misused, he tweeted; “If someone slaps you, and you retaliates, he falls and dies. It won’t be treated as self-defense rather it will treated as unintentional murder (manslaghter) which all depends on the result of the autopsy to ascertain the cause of death. But one thing I am sure of is that the suspect will be behind bars for a reasonable time. So I repeat, be careful of the slogan “no gree for anybody” we are telling you this because we love you and we are truly your friend.”
