1. “I’m sorry but why didn’t you tell me before now?”
You are now shifting the blame to the other party, instead of facing what you did head-long.
2. “I’m sorry you felt that way”
There is no iota of being sorry in thus sentence. This simply means that you are not sorry about what happened, or what you did, rather you are sorry about how the other feels.

3. “I am sorry but…”
There should be no negativity in your apology. Just apologise and try not to justify your actions.
4. “I already said I am sorry. What else do you want?”
You don’t sound sorry at all here, instead you sound pissed.
5. “Fine. I’m sorry. Are you happy now?”
This kind of apology is quite manipulative because you think that an apology is all the other party needs.
Take note that you don’t have to apologise if you don’t want to. Trying to force an apology is bad and that is when you start trying to justify yourself.
