The Nigerian government on Friday announced that it has “indefinitely suspended” the use of popular social media platform, Twitter in its country.

This impulsive decision came just two days after a tweet by Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari was deemed offensive and deleted for violating Twitter’s rule.

Meanwhile, the management of Twitter has reacted to this recent development by assuring Nigerians that they are working to restore their access to the platform.
