George Floyd the black man who was killed by white Minneapolis officer contracted the novel coronavirus before his death.
The full-length autopsy report was released by the deceased family on Wednesday.
George’s family hired a private examiner, after the Minneapolis police department released an autopsy results alleging that there was no physical findings that supports a diagnosis of strangulation or asphyxia.

The autopsy was conducted by the county’s Chief Medical Examiner Dr Andrew M. Baker.
According to the findings, Floyd died as a result of asphyxia due to neck and back compression that led to a lack of blood flow to the brain, the documents further reveals that he was positive for COVID-19.
“Results also showed that weight on the back, handcuffs, and positioning were contributory factors because they impaired the ability of Mr Floyd’s diaphragm to function.”
“From all the evidence, the doctors said it now appears Mr Floyd died at the scene,” the statement read, contradicting authorities, who have said Floyd died at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Floyd’s death was ruled a homicide by the private examiner, the two page documents can be seen below:
Derek, who had his knee on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes, had previously been charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
But complainants from Benjamin Crump, an attorney for the Floyd family, are pushing for the increase in the degree of the charges. Crump has continued to call for the charge on Chauvin to be elevated to first-degree murder.
