Intense shelling and fighting are still going on in Ukraine especially in the Kharkiv region as Ukraine troops attempt to regain control from the Russians.
Kharkiv region has been the main target of intense shelling since the invasion in February.
The Governor of the Kharkiv region said on Saturday that Russian troops continue to fire on civilians in the Kharkiv region.
Although the region has been heavily targeted by Russian troops, a report from the Institute of the study of war says that Ukraine troops are now ” notably retaking territory along a broad area around Kharkiv.”
A children’s doctor in Kharkiv revealed to BBC news that people are still hiding in bin shelters and not working.
“There is no Normal life in the city,” he said.
“Kharkiv is very close to the Russian border and so the city is constantly under attack. Unfortunately, while the war continues, we cannot relax and we are constantly on a test.”
On Saturday, a museum dedicated to Hryhoriy Skovoroda, a philosopher and poet in the Kharkiv region was confirmed to have been destroyed after Russian shelling pulled out the roof.
