Ukraine’s government has confirmed about 5 persons dead and 5 others wounded in the attack at the main television tower at Kyiv located a couple of miles from Central Kyiv.
The attack has been reported to have affected a TV control room and power substations. This also resulted in the bridge in broadcasting in some Ukrainian channels.
Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv was under attack too. A residential area in the city of Kharkiv lay in ruins after a strike. The attack was believed to have been caused by Russian shelling struck at Central Kharkiv Freedom Square causing damage to a regional administration building and other structures.
