U.S. President Joe Biden has condemned former President Trump, “MAGA forces” and what he called their determination to “take this country backwards” in a rare primetime speech.
He also described their activities as extremism.
Biden made the remarks on Thursday at Independence Historical Park in Philadelphia, where several hundred people were sitting in white lawn chairs and Independence Hall’s facade was lit up in red and blue.

“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” says President Biden in a rare prime-time speech.
Biden’s remarks at Philadelphia’s Independence Hall called on all Americans to defend the nation against threats to democracy, including aspects of Trumpism.
