6 killed and more were injured in a shooting in the wealthy Chicago suburbs of Highland Park, United States of America.
July 4, was mapped out to celebrate Independence Day Parade in Chicago however, the proposed parade turned into bloodshed.
IndiaToday reported that officials confirmed that 6 people were killed while 24 were taken to the hospital, and a rifle was recovered from the scene.
Numerous law enforcement officers also responded and secured a perimeter around downtown Highland Park.
The identity of the killer is still unknown, but USA Today news described the shooter as a white male with dark hair who should be around 18-20 years old.
This parade shooting brings back memories of the massacre on May 24th where 19 school children and 2 teachers were killed in Texas.
Highland Park is an affluent Chicago suburb.
