Phone battery do come mostly in lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion offers many advantages such as its higher energy density means smaller batteries, which in turn mean lighter, sleeker phones.
Mobile phone batteries usually seem to get shorter over time as it is used for a long. perhaps lasting only half a day even after a full charge. That’s because every time your phones lithium-ion battery charges and discharges energy it loses how much charge it can hold
The amount of battery life is dependent on two factors:
- How you use it in the past
- How you are using in the present
How to make phone battery last longer:
1. Reduce screen brightness
The easy way to conserve battery life while maintaining full function is to reduce the brightness of the screen. For devices that have an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display, you can use the ‘light in dark option’ for viewing.
2. Use aeroplane mode
Aeroplane mode disables GPS, Wi-fi, Bluetooth and GEM functions in your phone. When these auxiliary functions are turned off the device will only use up to 5% of its usual energy consumption.
3. Silence your phone
When the phone is constantly beeping and buzzing with the notification is tend to drain the phone battery.
4. Avoid charging your battery beyond 100%
Charging battery beyond 100% reduces battery lifespan and makes the battery experience higher stress from the higher voltage it builds up over time. Even if you may leave it to charge overtime, do well to keep it in a well-ventilated area, so that heat can easily dissipate.
5. Disable features like Google assistant in android and Siri in iOS when not in use.
