Former Barcelona defender, Douglas Pereira has been arrested after allegedly shooting a gun into the air in a car park in Brazil.
Report has it that the 32-year-old right-back had been drinking in a boat on Lake Paranoa around the time when the incident occurred on April 21.
He was asked to leave after falling out with the other people on the boat.
As reported by Football Espana, Pereira then walked through a forested area with an unauthorised gun, before arriving at the sports campus of Club Esportives Sul.
Security are said to have asked him to exit the premises after he “aggressively” confronted several people.
He then allegedly fired the gun up in the air in a car park.
Pereira is said to have hid the gun – which has not been located.
According to Globe Esporte, the ex-Brazil U20 international could face trial.
Meanwhile, he was detained and released on April 23.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office for Criminal Justice have filed a complaint against Pereira for “illegally carrying and firing a firearm.”
