Some groups of students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), engaged in a protest on Friday morning, over the inadequate supply of electricity in their lodging places.
A source said these students live off campus (that is outside the school premises) around a nearby village called Onuiyi in Nsukka Local Government Area, Enugu State.
According one of the students, it has been over two weeks since they last saw anything called light from EEDC. It was gathered that some unscrupulous individuals tampered with their transformer leaving them in total darkness.

It is very unusual for students around that area to stay for that long without any sign of light and especially now that their exams are fast approaching.
Hence they decided to go round the village to remind those in charge of electricity supply to come to their aid and restore their light. The students were spotted with placards describing what their protest is all about.
