During APC presidential campaign rally in Delta State, APC presidential candidate- Bola Ahmed Tinubu said Omo-Agege will be Niger Delta State Governor.
The presidential candidate in his speech said ” I equally recognize today, the Deputy Senate President currently, and he will be the Governor of Niger Delta State.” (Watch video).
Ovie Omo-Agege is the Deputy Senate president and senator representing Delta State’s central senatorial District. First elected in 2015 into the 8th senate.
Omo-Agege emerged as Delta State Governorship candidate under the umbrella of APC in May, 2022.
While some APC stakeholders found the whole situation funny, social users frowned at a presidential candidate who mistook Delta State for Niger Delta State.
