Social Democratic Party (SDP), presidential screening report advice female aspirants, Okunnu-Lamidi and Nuhu-Aken Ovia to withdraw from the presidential race.
The screening committee said though they were cleared, they were not presidential materials.
Khadija Okunnu-Lamidi was the First woman to declare interest in the presidential race in 2023. Okunnu-Lamidi is a media entrepreneur and daughter to former Federal Commissioner for Works and Housing, Late Lateef Olufemi Okunnu.

According to a document obtained by Sahara Reporters, Okunnu-Lamidi was described as confident, in possession of High communication skills, and charismatic and articulate; however, she is limited by experience.
The screening committee recommendation said ” cleared but not a presidential material.”
Nuhu-Aken Ovia on the other hand is a linguist and LGBTQ activist. She was also cleared but not presidential material.
The two female aspirants were advised to withdraw from the presidential race and opt for lower positions in the National Assembly or Member of State.
Meanwhile, the party had announced its Special National Convention for the selection of presidential candidates on June 8, at Eagles Square, Abuja.
