Messi’s last contract earned him $674 million over the four year term making his salary to be around $168.5 million per year.
However, his new contract with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) will be leaving him with €35 million in a season after tax, €2.91 million per month, €729,000 per week and €104,000 per day.
The last time Messi signed a contract extension in Camp Nou, he became the highest paid footballer in the world on a salary reported as being between €70 and 90 million per season.
In 2020, Forbes listed Messi the highest paid player.
