Former Super Falcons Coach, Ismaila Mabo dies at 78
The death of the former Super Falcons Coach has thrown the Nigeria football family into mourning on Monday.
Mabo’s brother, Engr. Mansir Salihu Nakande, confirmed the news early Monday morning saying: “The death of our elder brother, Ismaila Mabo, has occurred in the early hours of this Monday, after a protracted illness.”
Late Coach Mabo died at the age of 78.
His family said the funeral prayer will hold later this Monday.
Ismaila Mabo led the Falcons to their best-ever outing at the Women’s World Cup, a quater-final at the 1999 edition and was also coach of the side at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic games.
