The Chairman of ASUU, University of Calabar chapter, recently made a call for the government to put into the University, the same energy as they did with the Nigerian Aviation sector, to see if it will not reopen within one week.
Official_ASUU posted this statement via their Twitter. It reads:
“ASUU Chairman, University of Calabar Chapter, Dr. Edor J. Edor has challenged the Federal Government to extend the same energy put in the aviation sector to Nigeria’s Education sector and see if Universities would not reopen within one week.”

Meanwhile, ASUU are still on their bargain with FG. According to reports, the government has agreed to ASUU’s demand to pay their members’ salary arrears from February to June through the old salary payment platform, pending when the university lecturers will complete the development of its own payment platform – (UTAS).
