The church is generally known to be a place of worship, and it will amaze us that some churches are do have rapid growth while others grow slowly.

In as much as the church deal with human beings it is necessary that the are principles and tips that guide the management of the church and the way the church is being run.

Some churches may not deem it necessary, but the growth of the church is beyond the theoretical aspect but also involves relatable experiences.

1. Leadership structure

The way the Church leadership is structured goes a long way in its growth. There should be a defined structure of how a church leadership should be and those involved should abide by it and show respect for those at the top.

2. Vision and mission statement

Having vision and mission statement is not only for Companies and corporate bodies, but the Church too. It serves as a guideline to what the Church sets to achieve and how it intends adding to its numerical strength and impacting the society.

3. Set growth metrics.

The church growth should be monitored closely, this will help in knowing if there is an increase or a decrease. The participation and membership of the church should be closely followed. Records of members should be kept too.

4. Set time range for every activity

Have ever been in a church service where there is no definite time for dismissal? I bet you didn’t like it. This is an area where some churches fail, setting time frame for activities makes people aware of when they are supposed to be dismissed and how to plan their day.

5. Familiarise with members

People are always glad when their leaders can recognise them anywhere and even call them by name. If you are a church leader, you should be able to know your members and name. Have their house and office address, visit them when you can. This will give them a sense of belonging and value.
