1. Eat right

What we eat affects our overall health especially when we are being conscious of our health. People who are gearing toward old age should cut down on junk and sugary beverages. For those who can afford a dietitian, it is highly recommended that they have one.

2. Drink Enough water

There is a Nigerian saying that states that “Water doesn’t have an enemy,” as absurd as this may look, this is true because everything living on earth needs water to survive. Especially, when someone is aging. If there is a time when you need to take water the most, then it should be in old age.

3. Get active

One mistake most people make in old age is locking themselves up. If you never took part in any active exercise as a young person, then do yourself the good to get active during old age. This would help reduce certain old age diseases such as arthritis.

4. Maintain social responsibility

Socialization would help improve old age because it brings people around you. The more you have people who care about you and make it known. You are more likely to be healthy mentally. Active family and friends will help you stay active too.
