Afeez Adedigba, an Ibadan taxi driver, recently went viral for wearing his wife’s dress while driving passengers. In an interview with media personality Ayo Adams, Afeez explained that his choice of attire was purely practical. One day, heavy rain soaked his clothes, and with no other option available, he wore his wife’s gown, which was in his car. Since then, the driver has kept the dress in his vehicle as a backup for rainy weather, changing back into his own clothes once the rain stops.
Afeez, who has been driving the “micra” taxi for years, said he began this job after being unable to start a tire-selling business due to financial constraints. He prays for God’s favor on his work and remains focused on providing for his family. The driver, who has four children and one wife, expressed that public comments do not bother him, as his main concern is making a living.

He also dismissed rumors suggesting he was forced to wear his wife’s dress after a fight left his clothes torn. His decision to wear the dress is solely based on practicality during rainy conditions.
