Idris Alex Emeka, a student at Capital Government Day Secondary School Yola, Adamawa State, has been remanded in prison for raping a mentally ill woman three times.
Emeka pleaded guilty at Chief Magistrate Court 2 in Yola to the charge of rape, which violates section 260 of the penal code. Magistrate Musa Alhaji Adamu presided over the case. The prosecution reported that Emeka was caught in the act on June 26, 2024.

The First Information Report indicated that Emeka had sexual intercourse with the woman on three occasions. Prosecutor Inspector Galeon Nimrod, representing the state police command, informed the court that Habu Jibrilla reported the incident. Jibrilla, from State Low-cost, caught Emeka with the victim at 6:40 am and handed him over to Karewa Police Station.
