The awards ceremony aims to acknowledge and honor exceptional players from both club and national teams for their performances throughout the past year. The highlight of the event will be the recognition of the CAF African Player of the Year in both the men’s and women’s categories.

Currently, the Men’s Player of the Year title is held by Sadio Mane, the talented player from Bayern Munich and Senegal, who won the award at the last edition.

On the other hand, the Women’s Player of the Year title was claimed by Asisat Oshoala, who plays for Barcelona Femeni. She has been a dominant force in the category, securing the award in multiple years, including 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022.

The awards ceremony will also feature various other categories in which contenders will vie for recognition and honors.
