Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has tendered a public apology to Napoli fans after he carelessly contracted Coronavirus.

The 22-year-old Nigerian has been sidelined since November due to a shoulder injury he sustained while on International duty.

When it was finally time for him to return, Osimhen again distanced himself from the team by contracting Covid-19. Sources alleged that he may have gotten the virus after failing to take precautionary measures during his surprise birthday party in Lagos, Nigeria.

The player has however realised his mistake and appealed to Napoli supporters to forgive his ignorance .

Osimhen may likely get fined by Napoli for breaching Covid-19 rules according to reports by Goal.com.
