Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho netted his maiden hat-trick for Leicester City as they equalled the club’s biggest-ever Premier League home victory in a scintillating 5-0 triumph over Sheffield United on Sunday evening.
The 24-year-old forward benefitted from a slight through ball from Jamie Vardy to put the Foxes up in the 39th minute.
Ayoze Perez doubled the advantage of the home of side in the 64th minute after he picked up a pass from Albrighton down the right flank and arrowed a low effort into the bottom corner of Sheffield’s goalpost.

Iheanacho again combined with Jamie Vardy to score his brace in the 69th minute.
Nine minutes later, Kelechi received an assist from his countryman Wilfred Ndidi around 25 yards and rocketed it into the bottom corner!
Things got worse for the visitors when Ethan Ampadu diverted a shot from Vardy into his own net in the 80th minute.
Iheanacho’s breathtaking performance earned him the match ball. Meanwhile, the result puts Leicester City second in the Premier League table with 56 points from 29 games.
