Ballon d’Or 2021: Robert Lewandowski Is Ahead Of Messi, Leaked Document Results Shows
Argentina and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi will not be winning his record seven Ballon d’Or this year according to leaked document.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi is widely regarded as the favorite to lift this year edition of the France award after his outstanding performance in La Liga.
30 goals in 35 La Liga appearances was enough for Messi to win his eighth Pichichi Trophy. Aside La Liga’s top scorer award, Messi also won Copa Del Rey for Barcelona.
The Argentine also made headlines when he ended his long silverware drought with his country by winning the Copa America title in Brazil.
Sadly, a leaked document which supposedly emerged from France Football and obtained by Tribuna.com , shows that this year’s Ballon d’Or award will be given to Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and not Lionel Messi as widely expected.
According to the screenshot of the leaked document which is dated 25th October 2021, Robert Lewandowski is number 1 ahead of Lionel Messi who comes second on the list, while Karim Benzema finishes at the top three.
