Following the just concluded FIFA world cup in Qatar, Morroco emerges as the best team in Africa.
The Atlas Lion barged the position thereby overtaking Senegal who used to be the best team in Africa.
The team was ranked 22nd in the world and 2nd in Africa but have moved up to the 11th place in the world. So they are both best team in Africa and 11th in the world.

Morroco reached the semi-finals of the world cup becoming the first African nation to reach that stage in 2022 FIFA world cup.
FIFA president- Gianni Infantino confirmed to the press that Morroco played great during the tournament.
This is their sixth appearance in world cup. Though they didn’t win the tournament, Morroco has made a name for themselves.
