“Tompolo caused the killings in Okuama,” says man who saw the killing of 12 soldiers

A man who happens to be a native of Okuama community in Delta State has narrated his own version of what triggered the killing of about 12 Nigerian soldiers who allegedly came for peace keeping.

According to him, former militant Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, predominantly referred to as Tompolo, caused the killings in Okuama. Okuama and Okoloba community in Bomadi L.G.A were allegedly involved in a land dispute. Tompolo sent soldiers to intimidate the Okuama clan.

UPDATE: Source claims Soldiers brutalized Okuama community before they retaliated

The soldiers allegedly abducted three people from the community and slaughtered them. They came back for the community leaders, but the youth resisted them, leading to their unfortunate murder.

The young man revealed that the soldiers never came for peace keeping, instead they were carrying out the order from Tompolo. He maintained that he is speaking the truth and he isn’t afraid to die because of it. Watch full video below:
