Some Nigerians have taken to social media to denounce the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ahead of tomorrow’s inauguration, saying he’s not their president.
Reports have it that the move by some Nigerians on social media followed the comments by the Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Saturday, that he will never call Tinubu, his president.
Bakare, a renowned cleric and card-carrying member of Tinubu’s party, the All Progressives Congress, alleged a series of malpractices during the 2023 elections, insisting that the Independent National Electoral Commission made a mess of the electioneering process.

Davekenadu tweeted, ”Nigerians meet most useless politicians. One is President Mohammad Buhari, a man that supports corruption wholeheartedly. And Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a drug baron, our President-select, chose a terrorist as his vice. #TinubuIsNotMyPresident #TinubuDidNotWinAnyElection.’

While many denounced the president-elect on Twitter, some Netizens used the opportunity to celebrate Tinubu, praying that his reign be a great one.

Tinubu emerged as the winner of the February 25 presidential election and will be inaugurated as president on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Prior to the election, the former Lagos State governor had defeated Bakare; the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and others at a presidential election primary held in Abuja.
