The US election is coming to a conclusive end with the Democrats candidate Joe Biden leading the race for the presidency with 264 electoral votes. President Trump has 214 electoral votes. The candidates each need to reach 270 electoral votes in other to become the next president.
The incumbent president Donald Trump has earlier rejected the election outcome and has vowed to take his case to the Supreme Court.
This is coming after he declared himself the winner of the US election on Wednesday morning despite millions of ballots remaining to be counted and the result hanging in the balance.
“This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country,” Mr Trump said in an incendiary speech in the White House. “We were getting ready to win this election. Frankly, we did win this election. We will be going to the Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop.”
Joe Biden is only 6 electoral votes away from becoming the new American president, do you think he can pull it off?
