Moments after they were both sworn in, the new President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu and his Vice-president, Kashim Shettima updated their details on Twitter.
Tinubu who was sworn in Today currently has 1.9 million followers on the popular microblogging site. As of press time, his bio reads, “President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Similarly, the newly sworn-in vice president, Kashim Shettima who has so far amassed over 200,000 followers on Twitter updated his bio to read, “Vice-president, Federal Republic of Nigeria/ former senator, Borno central district/ former governor of Borno state.”

Reports have it that Tinubu, a former Senator and governor of Lagos State was declared the winner of the February 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission alongside Shettima, his running mate.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress polled a total of 8,794,726 votes to defeat his closest rival of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, who polled a total of 6,984,520 votes in the election while Peter Obi of the Labour Party came third in the election with a total of 6,101,533 votes and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP came fourth with 1,496,687 votes.
