Gunmen allegedly raid the house of the APC House of Assembly Candidate for Eche Constituency in Rivers State, Hon Charles Anyanwu.
The arsonists were said to have invaded Anyanwu’s residence and detonated an improvised substance suspected to be dynamited, which left the building destroyed, according to sources.
Meanwhile, The Rivers State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe Koko, said the matter was being investigated.
Hon. Charles Anyanwu was said to have recently survived an attack when some unidentified gunmen attacked his convoy in a campaign rally in Etche, his Local Government Area.
However, report has it that Anyanwu, narrowly escaped death when the arsonists attacked his residence in Port Harcourt. And no life was lost in the process
