The social media giants, Facebook and Instagram has extended it’s ban on President Trump’s accounts on the platform from 24-hours to indefinitely.
Recall that on Wednesday, the owners of Facebook and Instagram placed a 24hours ban on President Trump’s accounts for inciting the violence attack on the Capitol Hill.
The President had earlier encouraged his supporters to march from the White House area down Penn toward the Capitol to “cheer on [their] brave senators and congressmen and women.”
A large number of them came out in response to his call to overturn the election results.
However, things got out of control at the Capitol when Trump loyalists started to break into the Capitol building, attacking police, breaking offices and windows, and knocking down doors.
The attack at the Capitol Hill left at least five people dead and many others Injured.

For this reason, Facebook and Instagram has decided to suspend Trump indefinitely, at least after transition of power to Joe Biden.
The company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement on Thursday morning;
