The technical committee in charge of Atiku Abubakar’s presidential project has expressed their confidence that the zoning arrangement of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will in no way affect the presidential ambition of Atiku Abubakar.
High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, The Chairman of the committee, made this known while speaking to the press just after submitting Abubakar’s nomination form for the upcoming presidential election at the National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja on 4th April, 2022. When he was asked what the position of Abubakar was about zoning the PDP presidential ticket, he said that Abubakar is not against it. In his words, he said,
“By the special grace of God, when we get to the bridge, we will cross it. I’m not aware of any internal problems in the PDP. No crisis whatsoever. PDP is one big family; we shall all be together as brothers and sisters. Definitely, we have nothing against whatever the party will decide, but the zoning will not be against us”.
Dokpesi further said that the forms had been completed and duly signed and submitted.
Furthermore, during the submission of forms, Sen. Dino Melaiye, a former senator, described Abubakar as a man who had many potentials and competent enough. He further said that God had revealed to him that Abubakar would be the next president of Nigeria.
