The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that the Bi-modal Voter Accreditation System, (BVAS) machines, had been upgraded, and are so sophisticated that they can capture and easily accredit ladies with ‘heavy make-up ‘.
INEC Federal Commissioner and Head, Voter Education, Festus Okoye stated this while addressing voters who showed up for mock accreditation at the Abia State University, Uturu on Saturday, 4th February, 2023.

He said that the essence of the mock accreditation was to ascertain the effectiveness of the BVAS machines ahead of the polls.
