Presidential candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has deleted posts he shared on his Facebook and Twitter pages about Christian girl, Deborah Samuel who was killed by a mob in Sokoto state over alleged blasphemy.
The politician who shared the posts around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday May 12, deleted them less than an hour later after some Northerners threatened not to vote for him in the 2023 presidential election.

The post shared on Facebook and Twitter read;
“There can not be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice. My condolences to her family and friends.”

Opinion: by deleting his post just because some northerners threatened not to vote for him during the upcoming election, Atiku simply implied that Power is more important to than the blood of this young girl.
