During the APC convention at Eagles Square, Abuja, some presidential aspirants who had earlier declared interest to participate in the presidential race stepped down for the National Leader of the party and former Lagos State Governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
A total of seven aspirants bowed out the presidential race and showed support for Tinubu.
The first presidential aspirant to throw in the towel was Godswill Akpabio, Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
