The move by Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa to stop the Obidient movement in Delta State, has hit the rocks as Omenuwoma Josiah, the convener of the movement in the state formally turns down the offer to serve as a special assistant to the governor on youth mobilization.
According to Josiah, he said the appointment came after he has fully committed to the Obidient movement.
Josiah further stated, that he saw the appointment as a conflict of interest, because Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa is a member of the PDP, while Peter Obi stands for LP, so accepting the appointment would mean leaving the Obidient movement, which he cannot do.
Josiah has continued to inspire members of the Obidient movement in Delta State.
