Police Reportedly Killed 10 ESN Fighters Over Ahmed Gulak Assassination In Imo State
At least 10 Eastern Security Network (ESN) members has been killed by the Nigerian Police Officers on Sunday 30th May 2021, according to reports from Daily Post.
Newsblenda reported that the former political adviser to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak was murdered on Sunday while on his way to Sam Mbakwe airport in Owerri.

His death has sparked serious outrage from the presidency and as a result of this, a team of Special Forces, PMF, IRT, and Imo State Command Tactical Units were immediately sent out to hunt down the perpetrators behind the assassination.
But before leaving, the team of Special Forces interviewed the toyota camry cab driver who was conveying the late politician to the airport, and according to him, the IPOB militants moved in a Toyota Camry 2005 Silver color, Toyota Sienna 1998 Model Gold Color, Toyota Hilux White color and Lexus RX 330 Gold Color.

With the driver’s exact descriptions, the security forces while on patrol around the same local government area, came in contact with the people who allegedly killed the APC chieftain.
After a long gun battle with the ESN fighters at Afor Enyi Ogwugu junction, the security forces killed at least 10 of them, while others has no choice but run away with bullet wounds.
According to the police reports, seven out of the ten ESN members who was killed during the attack, were completely burnt inside the Toyota Sienna and Hilux vehicles that caught fire during the gun battle.

Police said it recovered “3 of the Four Vehicles Toyota Sienna, Toyota Hilux and Toyota Camry used by the group for their Operation.
Among other things the police said they recovered from the members of the ESN are as follows;
Three AK-47 rifles, one English Pistol, five AK-47 magazines, 92 AK-47 ammunition, several charms and three operational vehicles
