Police in Kwara state has arrested an Islamic cleric identified as Alfa Moshood Alabi, over alleged torture of a student to coma.
Reports have it that the cleric had flee away since the case was reported to the police by the National Human Rights Commission in the state.

Alfa Alabi allegedly beat the student whose Identity wasn’t disclosed into coma for stealing a locally made safe, otherwise known as ”Kolo.”
The cleric was arrested by the men oloje police division after his case was reported.
The Police command while contacted by newsmen revealed that the case would be transferred to the Gender-Based Violent Unit of the Police Command as soon as the investigation was concluded. However, the victim is said to be receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the Ilorin, the state capital.
