Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, All Progressive Congress (APC) National leader and presidential aspirant has today been Monday, 6th June, 2022 promised to work with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to bring succour to the victims of the Owo massacre.
Tinubu speaking at the palace of Olowo, Ọbá Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye during his condolence visit, condemned the violent attack on innocent worshippers. He described the attack as an evil that must be defeated, saying “there is no place for such hatred and wanton taking of innocent lives”.
Furthermore, before he visited the church for spot assessment, Tinubu pledged ₦50m to the victims, and another ₦25m to the Owo Catholic Church. He further stated that the South-West had never witnessed such an attack of such magnitude, saying it was horrendous. He further called on the federal and state governments to work together to strengthen the security around the country.
