The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the Katsina Command has apprehended Halilu Suleman, a 35-year-old resident of Are Village in Rimi Local Government Area. He was caught with 28 pieces of 33kva line spindle pins, which he confessed to stealing from high-tension wires. The arrest took place on August 20 based on credible intelligence received by the command’s Anti-vandal team.
Halilu Suleman was en route to sell the stolen spindle pins to scrap vendors at Charanchi Market when he was apprehended by the operatives. The suspect has admitted to his involvement in vandalizing and removing electric spindle pins. He is now under investigation and will face prosecution as per the conclusion of the inquiry.

The Public Relations Officer of the Katsina Command, DSC Buhari Hamisu, emphasized the commitment of the security agencies to ensuring a peaceful environment for the state’s residents. The State Commandant, Mr. Jamilu Indabawa, warned all criminals to cease their unlawful activities, reiterating the intent of the corps and other security organizations to pursue them relentlessly. The public has been urged to provide trustworthy and timely information to aid in unveiling the activities of troublemakers within the state.
